Just five days before the opening fixture against Waasland-Beveren, head coach Liam Manning departed to take charge of MK Dons in England, leaving the club scrambling to appoint Dutchman Peter van der Veen as an emergency replacement.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVan der Veen resigned in mid-December 2021 with results struggling, and short-lived caretaker Luiz Felipe held the reins for barely three weeks before English coach Brian Eastick was appointed on 16 February 2022 to see out the season.
