The club quickly became one of Belgium’s strongest sides during the 1970s, winning the Belgian First Division title in 1974\/1975 and regularly competing in European football.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eRWDM developed a passionate working-class identity and became well known for the intense atmosphere at the Edmond Machtens Stadium. However, financial problems heavily impacted the club in the early 2000s, eventually leading to bankruptcy in 2002. For many years, the RWDM name disappeared from professional football altogether.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn 2015, the club was revived following the rebranding of White Star Brussels, bringing the famous RWDM identity back to Belgian football.
