La Albiceleste, the white and sky blues, are one of the
most celebrated teams in world football.
Two of the world’s greatest footballers, Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi wore the shirt for Argentina.
Argentina have won the World Cup twice, in 1978 and 1986 and have won the Copa America a record 14 times.
This shirt was worn at the World Cup in 2018 in Russia. Argentina got off to a poor start in Group D with a draw against debutants Iceland,
before a humbling defeat by Croatia (0-3).This meant that the team faced a must
win final match against Nigeria. They did win 2-1 but only via an 86th min goal
from Marcus Rojo.
However, Argentina were knocked out of the tournament in the first knockout round by eventual winners France, losing 4-3 in an epic encounter.
