Armenia is a country that gained independence from the
Soviet Union in the early 1990’s and played their first
match as an independent nation in October 1992.
The team have never qualified for a World Cup or European
Championships, their best performance being 3rd in their Group
when attempting to qualify for Euro 2012.
Their top goal scorer, and perhaps most famous player, is Henri Mkhitaryan.
The Mountaineers wore this away shirt in the 2020 Nations League competitionagainst Georgia, Estonia and North Macedonia.
