Club Atlético Belgrano, commonly known as Belgrano, is an Argentinian professional football club based in the city of Córdoba, central Argentina. Currently, the club compete in the Primera B Nacional, the second highest division of football in the nation. ‘El Celeste’ (The Sky Blues) play most of their home matches at the 30,000 seat Estadio Julio César Villagra; this is their recognised ‘home’ stadium. However, Belgrano play their larger home games at the 57,000 capacity Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes. This is the home of Primera Divisón outfit Talleres de Córdoba, Belgrano’s biggest rivals. This rivalry is known as ‘el clásico cordobés’.
In the 2016/17 season, Belgrano competed in the Primera Divisón. It was a disappointing season for the Sky Blues though who finished in 28th place out of 30 in the league.
