Matabeleland is a region in Western Zimbabwe. They are an independent football association that compete in CONIFA. They are not affiliated with FIFA, due to not being an officially recognised nation.
This stunning shirt is currently being worn by the side as they compete in various friendlies and CONIFA recognised matches, the most recent of which was a fixture against Indy Wales, a football team made up of those who believe Wales should be an independent country. Matabeleland won the match.
Ex Liverpool goalkeeper, Bruce Grobbelaar, is Matabeleland’s
goalkeeping coach.
