Trabzonspor Kulübü, commonly known as just Trabzonspor, is a Turkish professional football club based in the city of Trabzon, which sits on Turkey’s northern coastline. Since their formation in 1967, the club have won 6 Süper Lig titles. 

Karadeniz Fırtınası’ (Black Sea Storm) play their home games at Medical Park Stadyumu, which has a capacity of 40,782.

Trabzonspor started the season under the management of ex-Chelsea player Eddie Newton, but he was sacked in October after a terrible start. New manager Abdullah Avci turned round the club’s fortunes with Trabzonpor
finished in 4th place in the Super Lig.

The club did not compete in European competition having been banned due to breaches of UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations.
