Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield is an Argentinian professional football club based in Liniers, a neighbourhood on the border of the Buenos Aires region. El Fortín (The Fort) play in the Primera División, the highest division of football in Argentina. They play their home games at the 49,540 capacity José Amalfitani Stadium and are considered one of the biggest & most historic clubs in the nation, with 10 domestic titles. 

This shirt was worn in the 2019/20 season and features Japanese detailing, including the Japan flag at the bottom of the shirt. This is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Velez's Intercontinental Cup victory in Tokyo, 1994. The side beat AC Milan, 2-0.
