BAYER LEVERKUSEN – HOME SHIRT 2025/2026
Based in the German city of Leverkusen, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Bayer Leverkusen - known as Die Werkself (“The Company XI”) - play their home matches at the BayArena. The club has been a consistent presence in the Bundesliga since the 1979/1980 season.
This smart home shirt marks a new era for the club, as it is their first to be manufactured by New Balance.
Worn during the 2025/2026 campaign, this has been a transitional season for Leverkusen following their remarkable unbeaten Bundesliga triumph in 2023/2024. That historic side has since been dismantled, with several key departures reshaping the squad. Creative talisman Florian Wirtz secured a high-profile move to Liverpool alongside dynamic wing-back Jeremie Frimpong, while captain and midfield general Granit Xhaka moved on to Sunderland. There have been changes beyond the playing squad as well, with Manager Xabi Alonso departing to (briefly) take over at Real Madrid.
As a result, Leverkusen have had to evolve. They finished 6th in the Bundesliga table, remaining competitive but no longer as dominant as in previous campaigns. Both new arrivals and established names have stepped up, with Aleix García and Alejandro Grimaldo contributing, while Patrik Schick continues to provide a reliable goal threat.
In domestic competition, Leverkusen once again showed their strength in the DFB-Pokal, reaching the semi-finals before being eliminated by Bayern Munich, who have returned to dominant form.
On the European stage, they progressed to the Round of 16, where they were knocked out by Arsenal, who have gone on to reach the semi-finals.
