BURNLEY - AWAY SHIRT 2024/2025

Burnley FC from Lancashire, England is a professional team, currently playing in the English Championship. They were one of the 12 founder members of the Football League in 1888/89, having been formed in May 1882. Known as The Clarets. Burnley have been champions of England twice - in 1920/1921 and 1959/1960. Their ground is called Turf Moor where they have played since 1883.

The 2024/2025 season, in which this away shirt was worn, was the 143rd season in the history of Burnley Football Club, and the club's first season back in the Championship following relegation from the Premier League. In addition to the domestic league, the club also participated in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. 

In the cup competitions, Burnley didn't fare very well. In the EFL Cup, they lost in just the 2nd round to Wolves 2-0. In the FA Cup, they did reach the 5th round, before being beaten 3-0 by Preston.

In the League they had an extraordinary season, setting all sorts of records, but still managed to finish 2nd to Leeds. Both teams achieved 100 points, doing so on the final day, however Leeds won the league following a 91st minute winner against Plymouth.

Burnley went unbeaten at home that season and had a 33-match unbeaten run to end the season. Their defence was outstanding conceding just 16 goals in 46 games and didn't concede more than 1 in any single fixture. They even had a span of 12 entire matches without conceding!
