CD MERIDANO - AWAY SHIRT 2026

CD Meridano are a young Ecuadorian side founded in 2020, during the height of the pandemic, by businessman Moisés Granizo. The club is based in the Pomasqui parish on the northern outskirts of Quito - a stone's throw from the equator monument - which has earned them the affectionate tag of "el equipo de la mitad del mundo" (the team from the middle of the world). In recent seasons they have trained in Mindo, the cloud-forest town in Pichincha, tying their identity to local tourism and conservation.

For the 2026 campaign - during which this striking away shirt has been worn - Meridano compete in Group 2 of the Segunda Categoría de Pichincha, the regional second-category tournament run by AFNA. Their group includes Aampetra, Espoli, Real Puerto Quito, Sandino and Vatuf, with the provincial phase running from early April to late June ahead of the national round.

After 8 matches played, the club sit 5th of 6 teams and haven't registered a win. However, they can end the season on a positive note. They play the only team on less points than themselves on the final day of the season.
