The Czech Republic wore this classy home shirt at UEFA Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland - manager Karel Brückner's farewell tournament after six years in charge of Reprezentace. Drawn into Group A with co-hosts Switzerland, Portugal and Turkey, the Czechs opened with a 1-0 victory over the Swiss in Basel through Libor Sionko's late winner, before a 3-1 defeat to a Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired Portugal in Geneva. The final group game is remembered as one of the most dramatic collapses in European Championship history: Czech Republic led Turkey 2-0 after goals from Jan Koller and Jaroslav Plašil, but Turkey scored three times in the final fifteen minutes - including Nihat Kahveci's brace in the 87th and 89th minutes - to win 3-2 and send the Czechs out at the group stage. Brückner stepped down immediately after the tournament, closing the door on the side's golden generation era.
