Denmark’s national team, known as De Rod-Hvide (The Red and Whites), have long been consistent performers on the international stage. Their most notable achievement came in 1992, when they won the European Championship in Sweden, famously defeating Germany in the final. Today, the Danish Football Association (DBU) are ranked 21st in the FIFA rankings, with their highest-ever position being 3rd in 1997.

This stylish away shirt was worn during Denmark’s Euro 2004 qualification campaign, which included mixed results, such as draws against Romania (2-2) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (1-1). Despite these challenges, they successfully secured a place in the tournament.

At Euro 2004, Denmark drew 0-0 with Italy, beat Bulgaria 2-0, and drew 2-2 with Sweden to advance from the group stage. Their journey ended in the quarter-finals, where they were defeated 3-0 by the Czech Republic. Jon Dahl Tomasson was the team’s top scorer at the tournament, netting 3 of Denmark’s 4 goals. 

Danish football has produced some serious talent; some legends include Brian and Michael Laudrup - arguably the greatest footballing brothers ever - Peter Schmeichel, and, in more recent years, Christian Eriksen.
