DENMARK – AWAY SHIRT 2008
Denmark’s national team represents one of Europe’s most respected footballing nations, with a proud history that includes memorable successes on the international stage. Since their emergence as a competitive force, Denmark have consistently challenged in major tournaments, most notably winning the UEFA European Championship in 1992.
This success has been shaped by key figures such as Peter Schmeichel, Michael Laudrup, Brian Laudrup, Jon Dahl Tomasson and Christian Eirksen, who have all played significant roles in establishing Denmark’s reputation in world football.
In 2008, Denmark wore a clean and stylish white away shirt, featuring red detailing in keeping with the national colours.
However, their path to the tournament proved challenging. Competing in qualification for EURO 2008, Denmark ultimately fell short of reaching the finals after a difficult campaign against strong opposition.
As of 2026, Denmark remain in contention for a place at the FIFA World Cup, having secured a spot in the European qualifying playoffs. They will need to navigate a difficult path against strong opposition, but with a blend of experienced players and emerging talent, they will believe they have a strong chance of reaching the tournament. To do so, they must first overcome North Macedonia, before facing either the Czech Republic or the Republic of Ireland for a place at the 2026 World Cup - so it certainly won’t be straightforward but being the highest ranking side out of the 4, they will fancy their chances!
