FC LORIENT – AWAY SHIRT 2019/2020

Football Club Lorient Bretagne Sud, commonly known as FC Lorient, are a French professional football club based in Lorient, Brittany. They compete in French football and play their home matches at the Stade du Moustoir.

Lorient are best known for their steady presence in French football and their Coupe de France triumph in 2002, which remains the club’s greatest achievement.

During the 2019/2020 season, Lorient wore this away shirt while competing under manager Christophe Pélissier. The club enjoyed a highly successful campaign in Ligue 2, finishing 1st and securing promotion back to Ligue 1.

Now Newcastle forward Yoane Wissa emerged as the team’s top goalscorer, playing a key role in their title-winning season with 15 league goals and earning himself a move to Brentford the year after that following an impressive debut campaign in Ligue 1.

The season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Lorient were officially crowned Ligue 2 champions based on points per game, marking a memorable return to the top flight.

More recently, the club are well known for producing French sharpshooter Eli Junior Kroupi, who made his debut for the club at 17!
