FC UTRECHT – HOME SHIRT 2021/2022

FC Utrecht is a professional club based in Utrecht, Netherlands. Formed in 1970 following the merger of several local sides, the club has established itself as a consistent presence in Dutch football. They play their home matches at the Stadion Galgenwaard, which has a capacity of 23,750, and are nicknamed Domstedelingen (“The Cathedral Citizens”). Utrecht compete in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football, a league they have never been relegated from.

This smart home shirt was worn during a competitive 2021/2022 campaign. Utrecht once again proved themselves as one of the strongest sides outside of the traditional “Big Three.” The team finished 7th in the Eredivisie, securing a place in the European play-offs. Despite their consistency, they were unable to convert this into European qualification after falling short in the knockout stages.

In the KNVB Cup, Utrecht showed promise but were eliminated by NAC Breda before reaching the latter rounds.
