GERMANY – AWAY SHIRT 2022

Germany are among the most decorated national teams in world football - and the most decorated in Europe. Known as Die Mannschaft (“The Team”), they have won the FIFA World Cup four times (tied with Italy): 1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014. They’ve also claimed the European Championship three times - 1972, 1980, and 1996 - just one title fewer than Spain.

The team wore this smart away shirt at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Unfortunately, it was a disastrous tournament for them: Germany failed to advance past the group stage for the second World Cup in a row. Japan topped the group with 6 points, and Spain edged Germany on goal difference.

Currently ranked 9th in the FIFA rankings, Germany’s position might seem low for a nation of their stature, but they have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup.

Some of Germany’s most legendary players include Miroslav Klose, the all-time World Cup top scorer; Lothar Matthäus, who holds the record for most minutes played at World Cups; and Franz Beckenbauer, arguably the nation’s most iconic figure, famously winning the World Cup both as a player and as a manager.

As of 2026, Germany have already secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup and have been drawn into a group alongside Curacao, Ivory Coast, and Ecuador. Die Mannschaft will be aiming to assert their authority from the outset and set themselves up for a deep run in North America, led by players such as Nico Schlotterbeck, Florian Wirtz, and Joshua Kimmich.
