GREUTHER FURTH – HOME SHIRT 2013/2014

Greuther  Fürth, nicknamed Kleeblätter (“The Cloverleaves”), are a German football club based in the city of Fürth, Bavaria. The club has a storied history, having won the German championship three times - though long ago - in 1914, 1926, and 1929. 

In more recent years, they were promoted to the Bundesliga in 2012/2013 and again in 2020/2021, but on both occasions, they lasted only a single season before being relegated back to the second division. Their home ground is Sportpark Ronhof I Thomas Sommer, named after a local real estate entrepreneur from Fürth.

The club’s green and white home shirt was worn during the 2013/2014 season, following their relegation from the Bundesliga. That season, Greuther Fürth finished 3rd in the 2. Bundesliga with 60 points, which earned them a promotion play-off against Hamburger SV, who had finished 16th in the Bundesliga.

Both legs ended in draws, but Hamburger SV retained their top-flight status on the away goals rule. Striker Ilir Azemi was the club’s top scorer, netting 14 goals for the Kleeblätter.
