INTER MILAN – HOME SHIRT 2022/2023
Football Club Internazionale Milano, commonly known as Inter Milan or simply Inter, are a professional football club based in Milan, Italy, competing in Serie A, the top tier of Italian football. Founded in 1908, Inter are one of Italy’s most successful clubs and remain the only Italian side never to have been relegated from the top division. Their honours include multiple Serie A titles, Coppa Italia triumphs and three UEFA Champions League victories, most recently in 2010 as part of a historic treble.
Inter wore this classic home shirt during the 2022/2023 season, manufactured by Nike and featuring the club’s iconic black and blue stripes. Home matches were played at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro), which Inter share with city rivals AC Milan.
The season proved to be a memorable one, particularly in cup competitions. Under the management of Simone Inzaghi, Inter finished 3rd in Serie A, securing qualification for the following season’s UEFA Champions League after a campaign marked by periods of inconsistency in league form.
Inter found greater success in domestic cup competitions, winning both the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana. They defeated Fiorentina 2–1 in the Coppa Italia final, while also overcoming city rivals AC Milan in the Supercoppa, securing two pieces of silverware during the season.
On the European stage, Inter enjoyed an outstanding run in the UEFA Champions League, reaching the final for the first time since 2010. The Nerazzurri progressed through the group stage before eliminating Porto, Benfica and AC Milan in the knockout rounds. Their campaign concluded narrowly in the final, where they were defeated 1–0 by Manchester City.
Argentine striker Lautaro Martínez was Inter’s standout performer, finishing as the club’s top scorer with 21 goals in Serie A and 28 goals in all competitions. He was supported by key figures such as Nicolò Barella, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Edin Džeko, Federico Dimarco and goalkeeper André Onana, all of whom played crucial roles throughout the season.
Inter's womens side are also one of the strongest in Italy and in this campaign finished 3rd behind Juventus in 2nd and Roma in 1st. Tabitha Chawinga was their standout and earned herself a move to PSG.
