KOCAELISPOR – HOME SHIRT 2021/2022

Kocaelispor, nicknamed Körfez (The Gulf), are a professional football club based in İzmit in Turkey's Kocaeli Province, competing in the Süper Lig. Founded in 1966, the club wear green and black as their traditional colours and play their home matches at Kocaeli Stadium. They have won the Turkish Cup twice, in 1997 and 2002, and have competed in European football on four occasions.

This home shirt was manufactured by Kappa and worn during the 2021/2022 season in the TFF First League, Turkey's second division — the club's first campaign at that level in over a decade, having worked their way back up from the amateur leagues following a period of severe financial collapse in the 2010s.

The season proved a difficult return. Kocaelispor finished 16th and were relegated back to the TFF Second League, hampered by financial constraints and limited squad depth. South African forward Dino Ndlovu provided one of the campaign's brighter moments, scoring a first-half hat-trick against Balıkesirspor in September 2021.
