Olympique Lyonnais, commonly known as Lyon, is a French professional football club based in the city of Lyon in central France. The club competes in Ligue 1, the highest tier of football in the country, and plays its home matches at the 59,186-capacity Groupama Stadium, one of the most modern venues in French football.

The 2020/2021 third shirt stood out with a bold design, offering a contrast to the club’s traditional primarily white home colours. It was worn during a competitive season under manager Rudi Garcia, as Lyon pushed for domestic and cup success. The team ultimately secured a 4th-place finish in Ligue 1, narrowly missing out on UEFA Champions League qualification, while also making a strong run to the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France.

Leading the line was captain Memphis Depay, who delivered an outstanding individual campaign, finishing as the club’s top scorer with 22 goals across all competitions. His performances were central to Lyon’s attacking threat and helped maintain their competitiveness throughout the season. His performances in 2020/2021 earned him a move to Barcelona for the following season.
