MANCHESTER CITY - CLUB WORLD CUP AWAY SHIRT 2025

Manchester City are an English Premier League club founded in 1880 and based in the east of Manchester, where they play at the 53,000-capacity Etihad Stadium. Known as City to their supporters, City have been one of European football's dominant forces of the past decade - winning six Premier League titles between 2017 and 2024 and lifting the Champions League in 2023 to complete a continental treble.

The summer of 2025, in which this striking away shirt (which is a tribute to their 2010/2011 third shirt) was worn, brought a tournament unlike any City had played in: the inaugural 32-team FIFA Club World Cup, hosted across the United States. Pep Guardiola's side arrived after a disappointing 2024/2025 Premier League campaign that had ended trophyless, and a near-perfect group stage gave hope they would deliver - 2-0 over Wydad AC, 6-0 over Al Ain, and a 5-2 demolition of Juventus to top Group G with a +11 goal difference and three wins from three.

The Round of 16 brought their campaign to a surprising halt. Drawn against Saudi side Al-Hilal in Orlando, City led through Bernardo Silva inside ten minutes, only for Leonardo and Malcom to turn the match around in six minutes after the break. Erling Haaland levelled and Phil Foden equalised again deep into extra time, but Leonardo's 112th-minute strike sealed a 4-3 win for the underdogs and one of the tournament's major upsets.

One of the most memorable parts about this shirt was Erling Haaland reaching an incredible 300th career club goal in just 415 appearances.
