PWD BAMENDA – HOME SHIRT 2022

PWD Bamenda (Public Works Department) was created in 1962 as the first professional football team in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. Based in the city of Bamenda, the club is one of the oldest in the country and is known by the nicknames "P-Ton Ton" and "Abakwa Boys", representing the Anglophone community of northwest Cameroon.

The club spent 14 years outside of the top flight before finally winning promotion back to the Elite One for the 2018/2019 season. Their return coincided with a remarkable period — PWD Bamenda won their first Elite One title in 2020, with the season being declared complete due to COVID-19, and followed that up by winning the Cameroon Cup, earning a place in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminaries.

This 2022 home shirt was worn during a period of continued top-flight competition as the club looked to build on their historic breakthrough. They ultimately finished 3rd in the league behind Coton Sport and Eding Sport FC.
