REAL MADRID - HOME SHIRT 2024/2025
Real Madrid CF are a professional football club based in the Spanish capital, founded in 1902 and known the world over as the most successful side in European football. Their honours list reads as no other - a record 15 European Cups, 36 La Liga titles, and the FIFA Club of the Century award - and the iconic all-white home kit has become one of football's most recognisable sights. Their home, the renovated Santiago Bernabéu, reopened in late 2023 as one of the most advanced stadiums in world football.
The 2024/2025 campaign, in which this classic home shirt was worn, was defined by the long-awaited arrival of Kylian Mbappé on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, joining an attack already containing Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham. Despite all the firepower, it proved a season of near-misses domestically - Carlo Ancelotti's final campaign in charge saw Real Madrid finish as runners-up in La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup, with all three trophies going to a rejuvenated Barcelona under Hansi Flick.
Trophy success did come, just earlier in the calendar. Real Madrid lifted the 2024 UEFA Super Cup with a 2-0 win over Atalanta - a record sixth - and added the inaugural FIFA Intercontinental Cup with a 3-0 victory over Pachuca, taking Ancelotti to 15 trophies as Real Madrid manager and past Miguel Muñoz as the most decorated coach in the club's history. The Champions League defence ended brutally in the quarter-finals, beaten 5-1 on aggregate by Arsenal.
Mbappé's debut season was nevertheless historic: 43 goals in all competitions, more than any Real Madrid player in their first season at the club, capped by the European Golden Shoe.
