RODA JC KERKRADE – HOME SHIRT 2016/2017
Sportvereniging Roda Juliana Combinatie Kerkrade, commonly known as Roda JC Kerkrade or simply Roda JC, are a Dutch professional football club based in Kerkrade, in the southern province of Limburg. Founded in 1962 through a merger of local clubs Rapid JC and Roda Sport, Roda JC have long been a familiar presence in Dutch football. They play their home matches at the Parkstad Limburg Stadion.
During the 2016/2017 season, Roda JC wore this traditional home shirt in their second consecutive year back in the Eredivisie. The campaign proved to be a challenging one, with the club battling to avoid relegation throughout.
Roda JC finished 17th in the league, which meant they were required to compete in the relegation play-offs to retain their top-flight status. Showing resilience under pressure, they successfully navigated the play-offs and secured survival in the Eredivisie.
In attack, the team relied on a spread of contributors rather than a single prolific scorer, with players such as Mitchel Paulissen and Abdul Ajagun providing important goals over the course of the season and contributing to over a third of the club's total goals that season between them.
In the KNVB Cup, Roda JC were eliminated in the Round of 16 at the hands of Feyenoord.
