SBV EXCELSIOR - HOME SHIRT 2011/2012

Excelsior Rotterdam, commonly known as Excelsior, is a Dutch professional football club based in Rotterdam. They currently play in the Eredivisie, the top tier of the Dutch football league system, following promotion from the Eerste Divisie in the 2024/2025 season. 

The club was founded on 23 July 1902 and was formerly known as Rotterdam Football and Athletics Club Excelsior. Excelsior's home ground is Stadion Woudestein which has a capacity of about 4,500, making it one of the smallest stadiums hosting professional football in the Netherlands.

This smart home shirt was worn in SBV Excelsior's second season back in the Eredivisie following promotion in 2010. Unfortunately, it wasn't a season to remember for Excelsior - or at least not fondly.

They were bottom of the Eredivisie at the end of the 2011/2012 season, managing only four wins in 34 matches. Roland Alberg finished as their top scorer with just 6 goals.
