WERDER BREMEN – THIRD SHIRT 2019/2020

Bremen is a city in Northern Germany.

Werder are one of Germany’s biggest clubs historically and they hold the record for the most seasons played in the Bundelsiga. They have been champions four times and have won the DFB-Pokal Cup six times. They play at the Weserstadion.

Die Werderaner (The River Islanders) fought a relegation battle for most of the 2019/20 season, saving themselves on the final day with a 6-1 win over Koln to give themselves a shot of survival in the relegation playoffs. By virtue of away goals in consecutive draws against Heidenheim in the playoffs, Werder lived to fight another day in the German top flight by the narrowest of margins.
