AC MILAN – GOALKEEPER AWAY SHIRT 2023/2024
Associazione Calcio Milan, commonly referred to as AC Milan, is one of the most storied and successful football clubs in the history of the game, based in Milan, Italy.
Founded in 1899, Milan have won 19 Serie A titles and are one of only three clubs to have won the European Cup / UEFA Champions League seven times - a haul bettered only by Real Madrid. The Rossoneri's honours list also includes five Coppa Italia titles, three Intercontinental Cups, one FIFA Club World Cup, and countless legends of the game who have worn the red-and-black stripes.
The 2023-24 season was the 125th season in the existence of AC Milan and the club's 90th in the top flight of Italian football. It was also the fifth and final season for Stefano Pioli as head coach. Milan finished 2nd in Serie A with 75 points from 22 wins, 9 draws and 7 defeats, qualifying comfortably for the following season's Champions League. Their Champions League campaign, however, ended prematurely in Group F, where they finished third behind Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain and dropped into the Europa League, where they were eventually knocked out in the quarter-finals by city rivals Roma.
The goalkeeper shirt was manufactured by Puma and worn by first-choice Mike Maignan, who was widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world at the time, alongside deputy Marco Sportiello.
