ADELAIDE UNITED  – AWAY SHIRT 2016/2017

Adelaide United Football Club is an Australian professional football club based in Adelaide, Southern Australia. The club currently competes in the A-League, the highest division of football in Australia. The club are nicknamed the reds, due to the colour of their home kit, and play at the 16,500 seat Coopers Stadium. The club was founded on the 12th of September 2003, with funding from English-born millionaire property developer Gordon Pickard.

This black away shirt was worn by The Reds during the 2016/17 campaign, as they looked to defend their A-League title. Unfortunately for Adelaide the season didn’t go to plan, as they only scraped a 9th place finish, in a league with only 10 teams. The Reds also crashed out of the Asian Champions League at the group-stage, finishing 3rd in their four team group. Adelaide’s top goalscorer in 16/17 was defender Dylan McGowan, who scored 5 goals in all competitions.
