ALGERIA – AWAY SHIRT 2010

Known as Les Fennecs (“The Desert Foxes”), Algeria are currently ranked among the top national teams in Africa according to FIFA. Their home matches are played mainly at the Stade Nelson Mandela in Algiers. Formed in 1962 after independence, Algeria have become a major force in African football. The team won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1990 and again in 2019, and memorably reached the Round of 16 at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

This classy away shirt was worn by Algeria at the 2010 World Cup, as they finished bottom of their group, which contained England, USA and Slovenia.

Looking ahead to the World Cup, Algeria will be aiming to make a strong impact on the global stage. With a blend of experience and emerging talent, they have the quality to challenge for a place in the knockout rounds. Much will depend on key figures such as Riyad Mahrez, who could be approaching his final major international tournament, alongside the likes of Ismaël Bennacer and Rayan Aït-Nouri, as Les Fennecs look to replicate and potentially surpass their achievements of 2014, where they pushed eventual champions Germany to extra time before losing 2-1.
