This striking away shirt was worn throughout the 2023/2024 season, a campaign in which Atlético secured a 4th-place finish in La Liga behind Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Girona. Despite battling through a highly competitive league season, the team continued to show the trademark organisation and intensity that have defined the Simeone era.

In cup competitions, the club reached the semi-finals of both domestic tournaments - the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup - showcasing their depth and strength across multiple fronts. On the European stage, Atlético advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, ultimately being eliminated by Borussia Dortmund, who went on to reach the final, which they lost to Madrid’s arch-rivals Real Madrid.
