Austria have appeared at the World Cup on 7 occasions. They qualified for the Euros for the first time when they hosted the tournament in 2008 alongside Switzerland.

They are currently ranked 25th in the world.

Burschen (The Boys) wore this away shirt in their two Nations League matches in September 2022 against Croatia and France, as well as during their successful EURO qualification campaign where they qualified with Belgium from Group F under Ralf Rangnick.

Austria have been drawn in the same group as The Netherlands, France and Poland in EURO 2024.
