AZ ALKMAAR  – HOME SHIRT 2008/2009

Alkmaar Zaanstreek (AZ) are a team from Alkmaar in Northern Holland. They are nicknamed The Cheeseheads due to the city being well known for its cheese markets.

AZ have won the Dutch Eredivisie twice, in 1980/81 and again in 2008/2009 when wearing this classic home shirt under the management of Louis van Gaal.

It was a superb season for Alkmaar who won the title by 11 points ahead of FC Twente, securing van Gaal a move to Bayern Munich.

The club play home matches at the AFAS Stadion.
