BAYERN MUNICH – HOME SHIRT 2022/2023
Der Rekordmeister (The Record Champions) are based in Munich, Bavaria, and remain the most successful club in German football history. Known for their relentless winning mentality and star-studded squads, Bayern Munich continue to set the benchmark in both the Bundesliga and Europe.
This home shirt was worn during the 2022/2023 season and featured a striking twist on tradition. Instead of the usual solid red, the kit introduced horizontal white stripes across the torso, paired with a white round collar.
In the Bundesliga, Bayern completed a dramatic title race, finishing 1st and securing their 11th consecutive league championship. The title was decided on the final day, with Bayern’s victory combined with Borussia Dortmund’s draw sealing a dramatic, last-minute triumph.
In the DFB-Pokal, Bayern were eliminated in the quarter-finals after a defeat to Freiburg, ending their hopes of a domestic double.
In the UEFA Champions League, Bayern enjoyed an impressive run to the quarter-finals, navigating a difficult path that included eliminating Paris Saint-Germain. However, they were knocked out by Manchester City who were the eventual champions.
The season saw major changes off the pitch as well, with Julian Nagelsmann dismissed in March and Thomas Tuchel taking over for the run-in. Despite the turbulence, the squad’s quality shone through when it mattered most.
German international Jamal Musiala emerged as one of the campaign’s standout performers, scoring the title-clinching goal on the final day.
