BENFICA – GOALKEEPER SHIRT 2020/2021

Located in the capital Lisbon, Benfica are one of Portugal’s top three clubs. They play at the famous Estadio da Luz (Stadium of Light).

Benfica have never been relegated from the Primera Liga.

As Aguias’ (The Eagles) goalkeepers wore this purple shirt it what was seen as a disappointing season for the club, trophyless for the first time since 2012/2013.

Benfica finished 3rd in the Portuguese Primera League and were knocked out of the
Champions League at the 3rd qualifying round stage, losing 2-1 to PAOK of Greece.
They did navigate the Europa League group stage alongside Rangers but were then
beaten by Arsenal in the Round of 32, to end their European adventure for another season.

Swiss striker Haris Seferovic was the club’s top scorer with 26 goals.
