CARLOS A. MANNUCCI – FOURTH SHIRT 2024
Carlos A. Mannucci is a professional football club based in Trujillo, Peru’s third biggest city in the north west of the country Founded on November 16, 1959, the club was established by local businessman Carlos José Mannucci Vega and his mother, Laura Vega de Mannucci, in honour of their late father and husband, Carlos Alberto Mannucci Finochetti.
The club are nicknamed La Tricolor due to its blue, white, and red colours, They play their home matches at Estadio Mansiche, a stadium with a capacity of 25,036 spectators. This venue has hosted significant events, including matches during the 2004 Copa América and the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship.
Throughout its history, Carlos A. Mannucci has achieved notable successes, including back-to-back Copa Perú championships in 1968 and 1969.
In the 2024 season, whilst wearing this blue & red halved fourth shirt, Carlos A. Mannucci competed in Liga 1, Peru's top football division. However, they faced challenges throughout the season and finished 16th out of 18 teams, which led to their relegation to Liga 2 for the following season.
The club has longstanding rivalries with Alfonso Ugarte de Chiclín and Universidad César Vallejo, with matches between these teams known as "El Clásico Trujillano." Additionally, they share a rivalry with Juan Aurich of Chiclayo, referred to as "El Clásico del Norte."
