FC CROTONE  -  HOME SHIRT 2016/2017

FC Crotone is an Italian club based in Crotone, Calabria in the south of Italy.  The club was founded in 1910 and play home matches at Stadio Ezio Scida with a capacity of 16,547.

The City of Kroton was one of the first Greek colonies in Italy and the club still displays flags and banners with Greek icons, showing pride in their Greek heritage.  They have a number of nicknames: Pythagoreans, The Sharks of Calabria, and Rosso Blu (The Reds & Blues).  So, a triangle of nicknames!

In 1991 the club was in the Promozione, the 7th level of Italian football but successive promotions saw the team reach Serie B, the second level by 2000.

In 2015/16 Crotone won promotion to Serie A for the first time and this home shirt was worn as the team narrowly survived relegation back to the second tier, finishing two points above Empoli to survive in Serie A.
