Gil Vicente is a professional football club based in the Portuguese city of Barcelos.

The club are named after the famous Portuguese playwright of the same name.

Gil Vicente play home matches at the Estadio Cidade de Barcelos which holds 12,500. They compete in Portugal’s top division – the Primeira Liga.

The club wore this white third shirt when finishing 13th in the league in the 2022/2023 season. In European competition, Gil Vicente beat Riga of Latvia in the Europa Conference League qualifying round in the Third Qualifying Round but then lost to AZ Alkmaar in the Play-off round.
