Göztepe Spor Kulübü, commonly known as simply Göztepe, is a Turkish football club based in the Göztepe neighbourhood of İzmir, a city in western Turkey.

Currently, the side compete in the Süper Lig, the top flight of football in Turkey. The club’s quirky nickname is The Göz Göz and the side play at the newly built, 20,040 capacity, Gürsel Aksel Stadium. The stadium is named after Göztepe club legend Gürsel Askel, a midfielder who captained the club and made 390 appearances, scoring 81 goals. Göztepe fans know Askel as ‘the Great Captain’.

Göztepe wore this striking home shirt in the 2021/2022 season, a bad one for the club when finishing 19th in the Süper Lig and therefore suffering relegation.
