LUGANO – THIRD SHIRT 2022/2023

Lugano is a Swiss town in the south of the country, in an Italian speaking canton. The town borders the attractive Lake Lugano.

The club were reformed in 2004 after relegation and financial troubles. They play at the Stadio di Cornaredo, which was one of the host stadia in the 1954 World Cup.

This third shirt was worn when Lugano finished 3rd in the Swiss Super League in the 2022/2023 season behind Young Boys and Servette. In the domestic cup competition, the club reached the Swiss Cup final but lost narrowly to Young Boys.

Lugano’s European campaign ended early in August after defeat by Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel in the third qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.
