Newcastle United Football Club is an English professional football club based in the northern city of Newcastle.

People from Newcastle are called Geordies, and they are amongst the most passionate football fans in England.

The Magpies play at the 52,305 capacity St. James’ Park and compete in the Premier League, the highest division of football in England. 

The Magpies maintain a fierce rivalry with local side Sunderland, who have been the inferior team in the derby for many years.

Newcastle have won the FA Cup 6 times.

This away shirt was worn by Newcastle when finishing 12th in the Premier League, under the management of Steve Bruce. Callum Wilson top scored with 10 goals.

In recent years the club went though a high profile takeover by a Saudi Arabian investment group (PCP Capital Partners). In theory, Newcastle now have the resources to compete at the highest level and so it could be exciting times ahead for The Toon!
