PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN – AWAY SHIRT 2015/2016
Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, commonly known as PSG, are one of the most successful clubs in French football history. Founded in 1970, the Paris-based club plays its home matches at the iconic Parc des Princes, which holds just under 48,000 spectators. By the mid-2010s, PSG had firmly established themselves as the dominant force in domestic French football.
PSG wore this clean away shirt during the 2015/2016 season, a campaign that proved to be the most dominant in Ligue 1 history. Under the management of Laurent Blanc, PSG cruised to the league title, finishing 1st with a record-breaking 96 points, losing just two matches all season. Remarkably, they secured the championship with eight games to spare.
The Parisian side completed another domestic treble, lifting Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Coupe de la Ligue for the second consecutive season. PSG defeated Marseille in the Coupe de France final and Lille in the Coupe de la Ligue final.
At the heart of PSG’s success was Zlatan Ibrahimović, who enjoyed a sensational final season at the club. The Swedish striker finished as PSG’s top scorer with 50 goals in all competitions, including 38 goals in Ligue 1, winning the league’s Golden Boot and cementing his legacy as one of the greatest players in the club’s history. He was supported by a strong supporting cast including Edinson Cavani, Ángel Di María, Marco Verratti, and Thiago Silva.
In the UEFA Champions League, PSG once again reached the quarter-finals, where they were eliminated by Manchester City over two legs. Despite another incredible domestic campaign, European success continued to elude the Parisian giants until 2025.
