PYRAMIDS FC - HOME SHIRT 2024/2025
Pyramids Football Club is a professional Egyptian football team based in New Cairo, within the Cairo Governorate. The club competes in the Egyptian Premier League, the top tier of the country’s football league system.
The club was originally founded in 2008 as Al Assiouty Sport in the city of Assiut. In the summer of 2018, Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Saudi Sports Authority, purchased the club. Following the acquisition, the team was rebranded as Pyramids FC and controversially relocated nearly 250 miles north to Cairo - a move that is similar to relocating Luton Town to Newcastle!
The 2024/25 season proved eventful for Pyramids FC, who wore this striking graphic home shirt when topping the regular-season standings, but ultimately finished runners-up in the Championship play-offs, with Al Ahly clinching the title.
On April 25th, 2025, Pyramids made history by reaching the CAF Champions League final for the first time, overcoming South Africa’s Orlando Pirates with a 3-2 aggregate victory. They went on to lift their first-ever CAF Champions League trophy, defeating another South African side, Mamelodi Sundowns, by the same aggregate score. The club also reached the Egyptian Cup final, narrowly losing to Zamalek SC 8-7 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in extra time.
Overall, it was a landmark season for Pyramids FC - one that saw them come agonizingly close to completing a historic treble.
