Royal Excelsior Mouscron 1996/1997 Third Shirt

ROYAL EXCELSIOR MOUSCRON – THIRD SHIRT 1996/1997

R.E. Mouscron was a Belgian club from the border town of Mouscron. 

The club played matches at the Stade Le Canonnier.

Unfortunately, Mouscron had to fold in 2009 after financial difficulties. They reformed as Royal Excel Mouscron but the new phoenix club also folded in 2021/2022 after their consortium was investigated by the Belgian judiciary!

Les Hurlus wore this really unusual shirt in the 1996/1997 season when the club finished 3rd in the First Division and as such qualified for the 1997/98 UEFA Cup.
