U.C. SAMPDORIA – SPECIAL HOME SHIRT 2021/2022

Sampdoria is a professional Italian club based in the city of Genoa.

The club was formed in 1946 after the merger of two clubs, Sampierdarenese and Andrea Doria – hence the name is a blend of the two.

Sampdoria has a unique home kit design which is blue and white with red and black bands across the centre of the shirt. The club are nicknamed blucerchiati (blue-circled).

They have one Scudetto in their history, winning the league in 1991. They have won the Coppa Italia four times but not since 1994. Sampdoria also have one European title, winning the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1990.

The club wore this unique special shirt when finishing 15th in Serie A, with Francesco Caputo scoring 11 goals in all competitions.

The limited edition ‘Samp for the People’ shirt celebrates the club’s social responsibility project.
