SERVETTE FC - HOME SHIRT 2024/2025

Servette FC are a professional football club based in Geneva, Switzerland, and one of the oldest in the country. Founded in 1890 by English residents of the city, the club have won 17 Swiss championships and 8 Swiss Cups over their 135-year history, and remain one of only a handful to have spent the bulk of their existence in the Swiss top flight. Known as Les Grenats - "The Garnets" - for their iconic maroon kits, they play at the Stade de Genève in the Praille district.

The 2024/2025 campaign, in which this classic home shirt was worn, was the 135th in the club's history and their sixth consecutive in the Swiss Super League. Under Thomas Häberli - appointed when former coach René Weiler moved up to sporting director in June 2024 - Servette enjoyed one of their finest league seasons in years, finishing 2nd in the Super League with 63 points, ten behind runaway champions Basel, and securing Champions League qualifying-round football for 2025/2026.

The cup runs were a different story. As reigning Swiss Cup champions, Servette suffered a remarkable defence collapse, exiting the 2024/2025 Cup at the second round. In Europe they were eliminated from the UEFA Europa League at the third qualifying round, dropping into the Conference League play-off where they were drawn against Premier League side Chelsea, losing on aggregate to a Chelsea team featuring Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Winger Dereck Kutesa was Servette's standout player, finishing as the club's top scorer with 15 league goals and 17 in all competitions - a remarkable haul for a wide player.
