SPAIN – AWAY SHIRT 2018/2019

This away shirt was released ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia with the ‘halo blue’ colour possibly inspired by Spain's light blue jerseys of the past

Spain’s preparation was severely disrupted when Julen Lopetegui was sacked as manager on the eve of the tournament, due to him deciding to take over the Real
Madrid job. Spain legend Hierro stood in as manager for the tournament.

La Furja Roja started the tournament with a 3-3 draw with Portugal in what was a brilliant game. A win against Iran and a draw with Morocco was enough to take Spain into the Round of 16, where they came up against hosts Russia. In one of the shocks of the
World Cup, Russia won the match on penalties to send Spain home early.

‘La Roja’, currently ranked 8th in the FIFA rankings have been drawn in Group B alongside Croatia, Italy and Albania for the EURO 2024 tournament in Germany.
