STOKE CITY - HOME SHIRT 2025/2026

Stoke City, one of the oldest professional football clubs in the world, were founded in 1863 - though the first documented match wasn't played until 1868, under the original name Stoke Ramblers. Known as The Potters in honour of the city's ceramics industry, the club play their home games at the bet365 Stadium, having left their old Victoria Ground in 1997 after 119 years there.

The 2025/2026 season, during which this home shirt was worn, was Stoke's 49th in the second tier and another campaign of mixed fortunes under manager Mark Robins, who signed a new contract in November after a strong opening to the season. After 14 games Stoke sat 2nd in the Championship, but an injury crisis through December derailed their promotion push and they slid into a familiar mid-table groove, eventually finishing 17th - their eighth consecutive bottom-half finish in the division.

Cup runs offered little distraction. Stoke made early exits from both the FA Cup and the EFL Cup, leaving the league as the sole story of the season.

The standout performer was Welsh winger Sorba Thomas, who finished as Stoke's top scorer with 10 league goals and added 11 assists across his 45-game Championship campaign - a creator-in-chief return that has drawn transfer interest from clubs across the Premier League and abroad before the summer window has even opened.
