SWEDEN – HOME SHIRT 2024
Sweden national team have long been a respected force in international football, known for their disciplined approach, physical strength, and tactical organisation. The team enjoyed its most notable successes in the 20th century, finishing as runners-up at the 1958 FIFA World Cup on home soil and consistently producing competitive sides for both World Cups and European Championships.
Legendary players like Zlatan Ibrahimović, Henrik Larsson, and Gunnar Nordahl have left a lasting mark on Swedish football.
Sweden wore this home shirt during their 2024 campaign, a period focused on rebuilding and developing a new generation of talent following their failure to qualify for UEFA Euro 2024. The design stayed true to tradition, featuring the classic yellow base with blue detailing, symbolising national identity and continuity during a time of transition.
As of 2026, Sweden remain a strong and competitive force in international football, blending emerging talent with established quality. Players such as Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyökeres, Roony Bardghji, and Anthony Elanga continue to play key roles as the team evolves.
Sweden have qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after securing a play-off place through their UEFA Nations League success in 2025. They progressed with an impressive 3–1 victory over Ukraine in the semi-finals, inspired by a hat-trick from Gyökeres.
To seal their place at the World Cup, Graham Potter’s side edged past a Polish team led by Robert Lewandowski in a dramatic 3–2 win. Gyökeres was once again the hero, scoring a decisive 88th-minute winner. The Swedes will now face the Netherlands, Japan, and Tunisia in Group F.
