TRABZONSPOR – HOME SHIRT 2023/2024
Trabzonspor Kulübü are a Turkish professional football club based in the city of Trabzon in northeastern Turkey. Founded in 1967 through the merger of several local sides, they have grown into one of the most distinguished clubs in Turkish football history.
The team reached its peak in the 1970s and 1980s, dominating the domestic scene with six league titles between the 1975/76 and 1983/84 seasons. This golden era cemented Trabzonspor as a true powerhouse - one capable of breaking the long-standing dominance of Istanbul’s giants: Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Beşiktaş. During this remarkable period, the club also lifted nine Turkish Cups.
Known as Karadeniz Fırtınası (the Black Sea Storm) and Bordo-Mavililer (the Claret-Blues), Trabzonspor wore this elegant home shirt throughout the 2023/2024 campaign. They finished a clear third behind runaway champions Galatasaray and runners-up Fenerbahçe. Towering striker Paul Onuachu, standing at 6'7", joined on loan from Southampton and became their leading scorer, netting 14 goals in just 18 league starts.
More recently, the Turkish side made their highest-profile signing ever: Mohamed Salah, arriving on a free transfer from Liverpool.
